Her With Hidden Footing
&
He With His Head in the Clouds
the clintonville water towers
while listening to wolf parade
Shine A Light
I keep my head uptight
I make my plans at night
And I don't sleep I don't sleep I don't sleep 'til it's light
Something's flowing, someone buried alive
There is an awful sound
This haunted town
And it will not it will not it will not just be quiet
Some ghosts sing. Someone get called to the life
Spend boring hours in the office tower
In a bus on a bus back home to you and
That's fine I'm barely alive
It's just a matter of time
No one gets out alive
And I'm content I'm content I'm content to be quiet
It's only six. Someone get called to the life
You know our hearts beat time out very slowly
You know our hearts beat time
They're waiting for something that'll never arrive
I keep my head on tight
I make my plans at night
And I don't sleep I don't sleep I don't sleep 'til it's light
Pulse flowing, someone buried alive
And if that head opens we built a life of work
Where we're chain chain chain chain, chained to the life
But that's fine, our blood is alive
You know our hearts beat time out very slowly
You know our hearts beat time
They're waiting for something that'll never arrive

Character Sketch
while listening to my morning jacket in the front yard
Phone Went West
Is there a doctor in the house tonite?
If there's a wrong, he could make it right.
Is there still a lock on your front door?
Is there still a lock on your back door?
Tell me I'm wrong, tell me I'm right.
Tell me there's nobody else in the world.
Tell me I'm wrong. Tell me I'm right.
Tell me there's nobody else in the world.
There will be a knock on your back door.

neon boneyard
"The Neon Museum's mission is to collect, preserve, study and exhibit neon signs and associated artifacts to inspire educational and cultural enrichment for diverse members of our international community." - http://www.neonmuseum.org/index.html
visited the new and improved "neon boneyard" today. it's hard to describe how aweful and direct the heat was. wonderful place though. part of the gentrification of downtown las vegas.

Columbus, OH
Saturday, more than 2,500 members of ACORN, (the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now), the nation's largest grassroots community group, rolled into Columbus via tour buses (some from as far away as Los Angeles) to kick off their 2006 National Convention.
Speakers included Hillary Clinton, John Edwards, and AFL-CIO President John Sweeney.
I took these shots yesterday, downtown, on the lawn of some state building, as the convention was coming to a close and the announcer was directing the participants to their respective buses to return home.

amp - first friday
the vegas art scene is trying to coordinate. on the first friday of every month all the bars and galleries downtown hold an open showing of new music, artists and tastes. it has grown quite large over the past year and now attracts upwards of several thousand people. these pictures were taken at the “beauty bar” on fremont street, in an area unaffectionately nicknamed, “crack alley”.
